Teachers Domain (Td) is an online database of lesson plans and multimedia resources for classroom use. Currently the focus of the site is on k-12 life science topics. They plan to add physical science resources in early 2004. You must first set up an account. You can then customize the environment to suite your needs. This includes creating online folders to organize media for later presentation during lessons. You can keyword search a rich library of professionally produced video, flash, audio, and static images that illustrate science concepts. Presently, over 150 video clips are available from sources like Nova, A Science Odyssey, and Zoom. Teacher's Domain provides media resources for the classroom and professional development thanks to a grant from the National Science Foundation.

This is another wonderful online resource from PBS. You can search the archive by keyword or category for streaming video clips from 13 years worth of episodes. Categories span all of the sciences from archeology to cognitive psychology. Each program is accompanied by an online quiz, as well as extensive teaching guides in PDF format. A listserv is also available.
