For your project, integratration involves modeling best practices critical thinking skills into the curriculum through Internet Information Fluency experiences. Numerous web sites have developed in recent years linking to collections of lesson plans with critical thinking skills and engaged learning as their central focus. The International Society for Technology in Education's National Educational Technology Standards for Students: Connecting Curriculum and Technology book (a course textbook) contains many lesson ideas.

  1. Respect copyright laws;
  2. Use the browser's "Find" command to search for keywords in documents;
  3. Use bookmarks/favorites to organize documents as you find them;
  4. Create an annotated list of URLs;
  5. Cite Internet documents correctly in reports and presentations;
  6. Incorporate text from web pages in your reports or presentations;
  7. Incorporate images from the Internet into your reports and presentations;
  8. Publish educational information using web pages;
  9. Use effective design in creating your web pages;
  10. Make your electronic information resources part of "engaged learning" experiences.
