This is an introduction to Google Docs Online Spreadsheets. Google offers free services to educators that will allow you to share speadsheets efficiently and effectively. Upload your spreadsheet and share it with colleagues or students. Collaboration is just a button click away with Google Docs: Online Spreadsheets.

Objectives: Participants will...
- Establish a Google Account and a Gmail address;
- Upload, Create and edit online spreadsheets;
- Organize their Google Docs directory;
- Edit online spreadsheets.
- Use speadsheets to create a simple survey form.
- Discuss classroom use of Google Docs

Course Requirements: Successful completion of the course depends on participating in online (asynchronous) discussions, reading assigned articles, using interactive tutorials, creating, editing and sharing Google Spreadsheets.. All work needs to be completed by the last day of the course for CPDU's to be awarded. This course is designed to be completed in 5 hours at the computer. The course will remain open for several weeks following the last official day of class to allow access to activities and discussion forums.
Technical Requirements: PC or Mac with high-speed access to the Internet is best. If you are working from school, be advised that some links may be blocked by school filters. Courses may contain Flash video and movies--downloading the most current versions of the free Flash Player and your Browser (Firefox is preferred) is recommended.
