Just like you'd mark a section of a book for quick reference, you can use the Favorites function of Internet Explorer to record the web addresses of important Internet pages.  By creating a personal favorites system you make it easy to return to a page without retyping the website address. 

How do I create a permanent record of favorite websites?

First navigate to a page that is worth saving! Click on Favorites Choose Add to Favorites Follow I.E. prompts from there!

Are there keyboard shortcuts that create favorites?

Yes there are keyboard shortcuts that make it easy to add a site to your favorites list.  In Windows hit Control-d  (Hold the control key down and tap the 'd' key.)

 

On the Mac use the Command-d keys
